From a casio to compositions
My musical journey began at age 9 with a Casio keyboard, swiftly followed by a guitar at 11. I immersed myself in music, playing with other musicians from age 12, joining a Jazz band in middle school, and exploring orchestral and choir ensembles throughout high school. After college, while pursuing a trade in manufacturing, my true calling emerged. For 20 years, I honed my skills across genres like Jazz, Metal, Prog, Jam, EDM, RnB, and Hip Hop, developing an undeniable urge – an obsession – to compose for film, TV, and events.
An unwavering passion
At 38, I fully committed to this passion, delving into the intricate world of orchestration, notation, and modern composition using VSTs. I am now actively stepping into more professional spaces, driven by the belief that I can provide you with not just a piece of music, but an entire, immersive experience. Every composition from CMSmithMusic is a testament to this journey, crafted with dedication and an unyielding commitment to quality.
